Position Summary: Provide and coordinate consumer care, educate consumers and the public about various health conditions, as well as provide advice and emotional support to consumers and their family. Serve as liaison for consumers between the Agency medical staff, care managers and the medical community. This liaison consists of interpretive, instructional and hands-on care. Provide leadership and continuity of care in all areas of medical operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
RN I, Med Ops Position responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Works scheduled clinic with Teams provider.
- Interpret, process and implement providers orders.
- Develop and maintain consumer records for the smooth implementation of medication orders.
- Order prescribed medications for consumers from designated pharmacy for timely dispensation. Check InfoScriber for up-to-date orders.
- Face-to-face with consumers in the community (home, restaurant, day treatment program, hospital, etc.) to provide continuity of care in the physical and/or psychological domain.
- Serve as patient advocate.
- Represent the Agency with visitors learning about the Agency model.
- Coordinate all nursing functions for designated team(s).
- Complete vital signs, weights and AIMS on consumers in a timely manner.
- Provide nursing coverage for other clinic locations and departments on a PRN basis.
- Nursing assessments completed for all consumers; consult with team providers as needed.
- Assist care managers as needed.
- Cross train in all areas of Medical Operations.
- Perform psychiatric nursing assessments and medication management for consumers in the clinic setting.
- Attend scheduled nursing staff meetings.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
- Participate in on-going evaluation of consumers progress towards treatment plan goals.
- Communicate as needed with current Primary Care Physician for medical and treatment needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential skills and experience:
- Valid Tennessee RN license, Phlebotomy skills and ability to give injections.
Additional skills and experience per level:
- RN II, Med Ops (Metro and Satellite):
- Must have 12 months of RN experience and 9 months of continuous service with the Agency in a nursing position

- Valid Tennessee Drivers License
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
