Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ARNP will be responsible to conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose psychiatric conditions, prescribe appropriate medication and provide medication management for patients.
The ARNP will order and monitor laboratory tests & consult with other clinicians, such as primary care providers, regarding patient care when necessary.
The ARNP will work under the supervising physician according to the established protocol.
The ARNP is also responsible to update annually and obtain education in accordance with State Board of Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Psychiatric Certified
• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida (Limited Licensure accepted temporarily)
• Experience or background/exposure in Psych Nursing
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications
• Working knowledge of the DSM IV – Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
