Currently looking for an Internal Medicine Physician to join a team of compassionate healthcare professionals in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Join a large community health network with 12 locations serving five counties. Other services include primary care, chiropractic, pain management, diabetes care, endocrinology, women’s health, substance abuse treatment, dental care, infectious disease and behavioral health.

Responsibilities of the Internal Medicine Physician

• Along with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical staff the family medicine physician will treat a wide range of health issues including short term ailments to chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient.
• Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.

Requirements

• Active/unrestricted license to practice medicine (MD or DO)
• Board Certified or Eligible in Internal / Family Medicine
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
• Current DEA registration
