Seeking an Associate Program Director for a Family Medicine Residency Program in Danville, Virginia. Physician will teach, mentor and precept residents in our new state-of-the-art family medicine residency clinic. This positions is all outpatient.

Position Details:
Dually accredited Family Medicine Osteopathic Residency program, with a total of six residents for every year. Our Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residency program directors work together to ensure an excellent educational experience for all learners so that residents do not have to compete for patients, procedures, or deliveries.

The family medicine clinic serves a diverse patient population with over 10,000 visits annually. Residents provide comprehensive medical care for many of the underserved patients in the region and receive exceptional training in ambulatory medicine. Time and resources are dedicated for teaching and administrative duties. The program provides patient-centric teaching that emphasizes practice-based learning, evidence-based medicine, and the importance of professionalism and effective interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements:
– Three years of academic experience in an AGCME accredited residency training program
– Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine
– Experience with sports medicine, geriatrics, obstetrics and pediatrics is preferred
